Although you may commit substantial time and resources to clean your home, it may prove to be exceedingly difficult to keep your residence looking spectacular day after day. However, with a home cleaning service at your disposal, you can employ friendly, skilled cleaning professionals to ensure your home will dazzle consistently.

Each home cleaning service is different, and you'll want to know what to ask each professional cleaning company before you hire one. Fortunately, we're here to help you simplify the process of hiring a professional cleaning company – here are three questions to ask a home cleaning business.

1. Are you insured and bonded?

When it comes to finding a professional cleaning service, employing a company that provides peace of mind is essential. Thus, if you hire an insured and bonded home cleaning service, you can rest easy knowing that your property and belongings are protected when cleaning professionals visit your residence.

An insured and bonded home cleaning company offers protection in the event that your property is damaged or any of your belongings go missing during a home cleaning. Therefore, you'll know that you are working with a proven home cleaning company that goes the extra mile to safeguard its clients if you choose a professional cleaning service that is insured and bonded.

2. Do you guarantee your services?

Is a home cleaning company open to feedback and suggestions? If not, you may want to search elsewhere for support, and for good reason.

Typically, a professional cleaning company will guarantee its service if its staff feels confident that it can deliver the best support possible during every home cleaning visit.

On the other hand, a home cleaning business that fails to offer guarantees may leave you high and dry. And if this company makes mistakes along the way, you might be stuck dealing with the consequences of these errors.

3. How do you establish your rates?

No one should be forced to break their budget to hire a professional cleaning company. Fortunately, you can find out exactly what it costs to clean a single room in your house or your entire residence if you ask about a home cleaning company's rates.

Usually, a professional cleaning company will be open about its rates and explain exactly what it offers as part of its service packages. In some instances, a home cleaning business may even provide discounts if you agree to multiple cleaning appointments or refer other customers as well.

Understand exactly what types of cleaning services you need so you can find a home cleaning company that will be able to offer the right support. By doing so, you'll be able to shop around for professional cleaning services in your area and find one that matches your budget perfectly.

Devote the necessary time and resources to find a professional cleaning company to enhance the quality and appearance of your residence. With a top-notch home cleaning business at your side, you can improve your house in no time at all.

Regardless of whether you're buying or selling a home, it is important to keep your house looking great at all times. By doing so, you'll be able to boost your home's appearance and maintain or increase your house's value for years to come.

A professional cleaning service remains a popular choice for homeowners, as this service makes it easy for homeowners to enhance the quality and appearance of a residence. Finding the right home cleaning service, however, may seem like an uphill climb, particularly for homeowners who are searching for a professional cleaning service for the first time.

Lucky for you, we're here to take the guesswork out of finding the right home cleaning service – here are three tips to streamline the process of discovering the ideal professional cleaning service.

1. Ask Friends and Family Members for Help

Friends and family members serve as valuable resources, especially if you're searching for a home cleaning service. These loved ones may be able to offer recommendations based on their past professional cleaning service experiences, ensuring you can find a terrific home cleaning service in no time at all.

Ask friends and family members about their past home cleaning service experiences. This may allow you to find a trusted professional cleaning service, one that can help you transform your ordinary residence into a dazzling one.

2. Browse Customer Reviews

Professional cleaning services are readily available nationwide, so how can you differentiate a great home cleaning service from a mediocre one? Customer reviews, of course!

Yelp, Angie's List and other home service review websites can help you take the guesswork out of finding a professional cleaning service. These websites publish positive and negative home cleaning service reviews from customers, ensuring you can gain insights into various professional cleaning services that you may struggle to obtain elsewhere.

Spend some time browsing customer reviews online – you'll be glad you did! If you explore customer feedback from across the web, you can better understand what separates a wonderful professional cleaning service from a subpar one.

3. Get Support from a Real Estate Agent

Real estate agents offer expert tips and guidance to homebuyers and home sellers alike. As such, they understand the best home cleaning services in numerous cities and towns and are happy to help you discover the perfect professional cleaning service.

Furthermore, real estate agents may be able to help you find a home cleaning service that fits your schedule and budget. These agents understand that is paramount to employ a professional cleaning service that is available at dates, times and prices that work for you. Thus, real estate professionals will go above and beyond the call of duty to help you discover the right home cleaning service at any time.

A home cleaning service ensures you can eliminate dust, debris and odors from your residence. And if you dedicate the necessary time and resources to hire a professional cleaning service today, you can minimize such problems both now and in the future.

Technology has streamlined our lives at work, at home, and during our leisure time. We're constantly updated with emails and notifications from our bosses or our friends about upcoming deadlines or family parties. However, many of us are still old fashioned when it comes to using tech to improve the way we run our homes. There are apps that can control the electronics in your home, remind you when it's time to clean out the refrigerator, or even tell the people in your house when it's their turn to take out the trash. We've built a list of the most useful apps that will help you spend less time planning and organizing around the home.

Smart house

Wifi technology is slowly escaping our cell phones and computers and making its way around our homes. Smart TVs are now the norm, and Amazon makes buttons that you can store in your cabinets that automatically order new paper towels or laundry detergent when you run out. Part of this home automation revolution is the introduction of apps that allow you to remotely control your home. Kits like SmartThings or WeMo allow you to control lights, coffeemakers, and garage doors all from your smartphone.  What's more, you can control them from work as long as you have signal on your phone. Many of these apps allow you to schedule items to turn on and off at certain times as well, which can help you save on electricity.

Apps to ease the moving process

If you've moved recently, maybe you used a checklist app on your phone to keep track of items while packing. What you probably didn't know is that there are apps that help you even further, including choosing the best prices on moving companies. Unpakt lets you add items that you're moving to a list and tells you how many boxes you'll need. Then it gives you a selection of movers and lets you compare prices.

Keeping up with the chores

The app stores are inundated with tools to help you stay on top of your schedule. But recent additions take it a step further to target other household needs. Do you run a tight ship at your house? Or would you like to? iRewardsChart lets you track your kids' progress on their chores and reward them for good behavior. You can award them cash allowance, time watching television, or whatever else you see as suitable rewards. If you and your family or housemates have a hard time keeping track of whose turn it is to wash dishes, check out Chorma. It's an iPhone app that let's you add chores and coordinate them with other people in your house. No more excuses for not knowing it was your turn!

Creating your dream home

The best home and living apps aren't just about chores and reminders. There are some great apps that are out there to help inspire you to personalize your home. Brightnest is an app that provides cleaning tips, recipes ideas, and DIY projects so your home can keep evolving as you do.

It’s almost time to welcome in the spring season. With spring comes a yearly tradition: Spring cleaning! Where do you even start to get the dust, dirt, and clutter out of your home after a long winter? We have a few tips for you regarding all of the areas that you need to address.

Baseboards, Door Frames, and Walls

These areas of your home are often overlooked, but can accumulate quite a bit of dust and dirt. All you need to do is wash the areas down with soap and water and let them dry thoroughly.

Wash Your Windows

This sounds like it’s the least fun of any kind of cleaning project, but it must be done! However you decide to wash your windows, make sure that you pick a cloudy day for it. If it’s a sunny day, you could end up streaking the windows quite harshly because the windows will dry too fast.

Deep Clean The Carpets

Although this project may be done only once a year, it’s an important cleaning task to help with springtime allergens. You can have your rugs professionally cleaned. Another option is to rent a deep cleaner for the carpet and do-it-yourself. This can be an all day project, since the carpets need time to dry. If you see any stains in the carpets, be sure to pre-treat them before you start the carpet cleaning process.

Give Your Furniture A Once-Over

Spring is a great time to vacuum up your furniture and refresh the upholstery. Clean the wood portions of your furniture as well with a polish. Be sure that you clean under the furniture, under the cushions, and all around the furniture as well. Your vacuum hose will come in handy for these tasks.

Clean Behind The Refrigerator

Take the time to move your refrigerator, dust behind it, and really clean all around it. So much dust and dirt can collect around the fridge that it will shock you.

Dust The Light Fixtures

Your light fixtures can often go ignored. The glass around the bulbs can collect quite a bit of dust and dirt. Take the lighting fixtures apart and wipe everything down with a cloth. Use a mild cleaner for dust and dirt that has really built up over time.

Power Wash The Outside Of Your House

The spring is a great time to power wash the outside of your home. The exterior of the home will appear like new as you get rid of any dust, dirt, and debris that may have built up on the shingles or stone facing over the course of the fall and winter.

Spring cleaning won’t be such a tedious task as long as you take the time to plan what your priorities are in the house.

As a home seller, you'll want to ensure all areas of your house look great. By doing so, you may be able to generate substantial interest in your house and boost your chances of a quick home sale.

Unfortunately, some home areas are tougher to clean than others. And when it comes to cleaning your attic, it may prove to be a time-consuming process to transform this space from a liability into an asset.

So what does it take to fully clean an attic? Here are three tips to help a home seller revamp an attic in no time at all.

1. Look Out for Dust and Mold.

Dust and mold can be problematic, but these issues may arise if you rarely enter your home's attic. Fortunately, a home seller who spends some time cleaning the attic can minimize dust and mold with ease.

Repair or replace any loose, broken or missing shingles in your attic. Also, check attic windows for missing caulk or cracked panes. Resolving these issues may help you prevent mold from forming.

If you encounter mold, contact a certified indoor air quality professional immediately. This professional can evaluate your attic and offer recommendations to correct the problem.

In addition, dust your attic thoroughly. This will enable you to minimize the risk that dust mites and other irritants could enter other areas of your home.

2. Get Rid of Unwanted Items.

From holiday decorations to family photo albums, your attic may be filled with a broad assortment of items. And if you remove clutter from your attic today, you may be able to save time after you sell your residence.

Go through your attic belongings and separate the essential items from the non-essential ones. That way, as moving day approaches, you won't have to rush to get rid of non-essential items.

Furthermore, wear rubber gloves, eye protection and a dust mask any time you clean or organize your attic. This will enable you to stay safe as you work.

3. Collaborate with Your Real Estate Agent.

Does your attic require a complete overhaul? If so, you may need professional cleaning support, and your real estate agent can put you in touch with the right cleaning company instantly.

Your real estate agent will do what it takes to help your home stand out in the eyes of homebuyers. He or she can offer attic cleaning recommendations and general cleaning tips, guaranteeing you should have no trouble creating a dazzling home interior.

When it comes to selling your home, it is easy to ignore your attic. However, a home seller who performs extensive attic cleaning may be able to differentiate his or her residence from others – something that is exceedingly important in a highly competitive real estate market.

Take advantage of the aforementioned attic cleaning tips – you'll be happy you did! If you revamp your attic, you could improve your chances of maximizing the value of your residence and accelerating the home selling process.
